Challenge:

Our client needed to replace their president, a person who had been very successful and extremely well respected within the R&D community. The Board of Directors wanted to hire an internal candidate who had been groomed for the last several years for the position. At the same time, the board had to demonstrate to its stakeholders that the internal candidate was indeed the best candidate.

Solution:

We conducted an executive search and brought to light several candidates who appeared to be suitable for the position. We designed and built a complex interview and assessment process, including rigorous reference checks. The outcome was the hiring of the internal candidate, to the satisfaction of the board, the external stakeholders and the employees.
